A central location, a relaxed pace of life, a place to enjoy the finer things.
Goodbye, CBD; hello, Lyoner district! In the Niederrad area of Frankfurt, there is a vibrant new district springing up – one that is bursting with potential. Roughly 10,000 new residents will find a new home here over the next few years – sophisticated people who treasure their peace and quiet and yet want to be close to the action.
With its broad boulevards and large green spaces, the district offers all the things that make living in the city on the Main that little bit more enjoyable. Short journey times to the city itself, good infrastructure, unspoilt natural surroundings and, of course, all manner of shopping and leisure facilities, services and places to get some exercise.
Pure nature…comes included! On one side are the scenic banks of the Main; on the other, the city forest with its beautiful footpaths, shaded spots and sun-drenched glades. Plenty of space for explorers young and old.
The bus stops right outside, the tram passes by a couple of streets away and the airport is just around the corner. The excellent links make any journey easy. Public transport will take you to the centre of Frankfurt quickly, and you can get to the A5 motorway in two minutes by car.
Everything you need, right where you need it. From supermarkets such as REWE, Aldi and Lidl to butchers, bakers and chemists, as well as a weekly market. You can leave the car behind if you want, as you can get to most of the shops you need on foot.
Italian, Indian, seasonal cuisine? Or would you prefer a delicious cocktail in stylish surroundings? In the Lyoner district, you will find a fantastic selection of welcoming restaurants, bistros, cafés and bars – and more are opening up all the time.
You can play golf in the city forest, play football or softball at the TSG Niederrad sports ground, go running or cycling along the Main, take a swim at the Commerzbank Arena or keep fit at a gym around the corner. In this district, it is easy to stay fit, healthy and relaxed.
Well-kept playgrounds, excellent leisure facilities, a quiet area and lots of playmates mean that children will quickly feel at home here. There are five childcare centres in the immediate vicinity, and there are plans for a primary school in the district.
